Federal priorities:
- Support the US Constitution in accordance with our oaths.
- Transfer marijuana from a Schedule I to a Schedule III drug.
- Protect the VA staffing & services at the George E. Wahlen facility and Veterans Nursing Homes, including but not limited to inpatient and mental health services.
- Support Ukraine’s defense against Russian aggression.
- Continue support for traditional alliances, including NATO.
- Oppose purge of qualified leadership and highly trained personnel.
- Oppose confirmation of unqualified political appointees.
- Support transgender service member retention.
- Maintain separation of church and state and oppose efforts to establish dictatorship.
- Oppose genocide and support humanitarian aid to displaced people.
- Support American soft power worldwide to reduce the likelihood of future conflict.
- Reinstate Congressional authority over military action.
- Demand public hearings on unauthorized use(s) of military force.
- Defund unauthorized military operations.
- Authorize safe-harbor permanent legal residency to Veterans and their family members for Honorable service.
- Protect Veterans who served Honorably and their family members from deportation.
State priorities:
- Support convenient access to VA services via public transit.
- Support Veteran addiction and mental illness treatment access.
- Support Veteran rapid rehousing.
- Medical marijuana needs to be discounted for Veterans.
- Homeless abatement policies must include alternative placement options.
- Encourage Veterans court expansion statewide.
- Update disabled Veterans’ property tax relief.
- Add a GWOT Memorial for Utah service members.
- Support range proficiency test for Concealed Carry Permits.
- Firmly oppose the creation of any standing registry of firearm owners.
- Support Red Flag Law with due process protections.
- Support Safe Storage Law with appropriate exceptions.
- Support Universal background checks with family transfer exemptions.
- Support Dangerous Weapon Custodian Liability accountability with an appropriate burden-of-proof clause.
